Supplying artwork for your badge
Below are guidelines for supplying badge artwork and logos
Yes, we can make you a badge design free of charge in most cases, but if you’d prefer to supply your own that’s fine !
Formats we prefer:
– Adobe PDF *** our most preferred format
– CorelDraw (CDR)
– Adobe Illustrator (AI)
– Affinity Designer or Affinity Publisher
Other file types we can work with:
– Any bitmap formats (JPG, PNG, TIF,
PSD, etc saved at high quality settings)
– Encapsulated Postscript (EPS)
– MicroSoft Word
Multiple Badges or Large quantities:
When ordering large amounts of badges, we only require one ‘base’ artwork to work from. A list can be supplied of the names/titles etc, for the bulk of the order in Word/Excel, or similar.
If just supplying your logo:
A PDF vector file is great, jpeg or similar bitmap format should be fine - as long as it’s an appropriate size (approx. 300-400 pixels high is usually fine for a name badge - i.e. not tiny too on your computer screen).
Important: Colours, fonts and size
Colours: If you have a specific colour you require please let us know when you order - we will do our best to match this. Supplying a Pantone colour is preferable.
Fonts: In most cases converting fonts used in your document to outlines/curves is recommended (as we don’t have every font). Supplying us with your font is another option.
Size: Please refer to the badge size charts for the correct size for your badge artwork. If colours or images are to go to the edge of the design, please allow extra around the edges 1mm (bleed) for this.
Small canvas
Remember what’s most important on a name badge… the Name!
Your company or organisation’s logo can also be important - but remember a name badge is a very small canvas and it’s there to communicate someone’s name. Try and use a minimum of design content and keep it readable from a reasonable distance.
